Hello Everyone,

What a treat! Last week, I got my first capture of a dunnock! This week, I got him again!

This little bird is reknown for skulking under bushes and picking food up from the ground. This is how he is described in all the bird books that I have consulted.
However. I witnessed this little chappie feeding from the bird feeder. He was hanging there with the blue tits! I was amazed!

I did get a shot of him on the feeder but it was not sharp enough to post. That is my next objective! I'll keep you posted!

Thank you for stopping by.
Please feel free to offer feedback on any aspect of the photograph. :-)

pp cropped slightly, sharpened, adj brightness, added borders and framed.

Hi Beverley

Great detailed picture with good colours and great composition.

You sure keep good mental notes on the actions of the birds and notate them on to us which is a very handy learning tool along with the image. We now get a certain behaviour pattern as well as the appearance..Good notion and well done.

hello Beverley

lovely shot of this cute bird with fine POV and framing,
i love your POV at the level of the bird and that you kept
a good space in front of him in the framing, excellent DOF,
and lovely details of the bird's plumage, TFS

Nice one, Beverley!
You made a fine capture of the Dunnock in a great pose and from just the right POV.
This ia also pretty sharp and well composed.
Dunnocks are scarcer and shyer in Sweden and difficult to photograph so thanks for sharing this excellent image,
Best wishes, Ivan

Hello Bev,
Lovely capture of the Dunnock, a bird I haven't managed to catch yet. I've only seen it once in our garden. I like its grey colour and orange legs that you're showing very well here. A fine composition too.
TFS and cheers, Ulla
