Very good lighting in this photo. I love the blurry slightly noisey background as it highlights the sharp clear subject well. Very cute little guy.

He is really very cute, I like his face. Penguins are my favourite birds, I like to observe them too, I like how they walk. Good sharp photo.
Nikon is my favourite camera as well. My best photos were made by it, not the digital one...
I noticed that digital cameras do not depict certain real colors (blue and green) - not only from my pictures, but other photographers' too and what really drives me crazy is the shutter lag! You cannot really "catch the moment"!
I like what you say about photography in your intro (spice, added to travelling), it really is! I totally agree about discovering other cultures: something just pushes me to go to visit places. How come you went even to Antactica, I wonder? Was it work or leisure?

This is on the front page at the moment, Shir, and I had to click, just from seeing the thumbnail.
I like the "echo effect" of the other bird in the background and feel that the tight framing is very effective.
