Hi all,

I don´t know about frogs ID, so.. I ask for some help!

This summer a friend comes to visit me and while having a sunbath close to the shore, she ask me, "the sand is jumping... it´s something normal here?" And I look at the sand... and it was jumping!! So I look closer and I found this little guy hidden with the sand sticked to it´s body.
We haven´t see frogs in this lake, among people, for quite a long time, so I got sorprised.
It was a very small one, about 8 centimetres long or less. It was going to Espejo´s lake shore, but some little children took it from sand and start to play with it...
I would also like to add something about this "sand", as you can see it´s not like a beach from Caribe. This is because the sand from most of the lakes of this place comes from volcanic eruptions and glaciers activities.
All the sticks you can see there comes from all the woods that sorround the lake.

The pic was taken a very sunny day, at about 16hs, when sun was shining quite a lot!!
Hope you like it!
have a nice day

Hello Brenda,

Very nice and interesting picture. Good POV and DOV. That is only a pity that you cut one leg. Nice natural colours and well-managed light.

Complimenti. Ciao Maurizio

Hello Brenda,
Very good close up in capturing this frog in it's natural environment, hardly notice he is there alright with the same colour!

Great shot of your frog. Very sharp and detailed having nice natural colours. It's hard to identify it since it is covered with all the debris.
It reminds me of our leopard frogs that we have here in Ohio, except yours has a much shorter face. Good notes!

Hola Brenda,
Realmente el animalito te ha quedado de fábula, increible el mimetismo que lo confunde con el medio. Saludos cordiales.

Hello Brenda,
Sorry I can not help with identification, but this is a cute and smart little one. You have captured him well dispite the strong light. The colors and details in this fine composition are spot on. Very well done Breanda, thanks for sharing.

Hello Brenda, it's been a while since I looked at one of your picture. This is a lovely frog here and the story is funny to read. I like the colours, can you imagine, this frog jumping and so similar in colours to the sand where it lives. Is your summer ending now? Thank you for the nice picture,

hello Brenda

excellent shot of this Frog that is camouflaged
with his environnement, fine POV, excellent DOF,
great sharpness and details of the subject,
for the framing i would give a little bit more space in front
of the subject and a little bit less at his back, TFS

Great shot! The POV and composition are excellent. Reflections on the nose give the eyes of the viewer a place to focus. But I feel the out of focus BG at the top left region is little bit distracting. May be cropping that part will make the picture even better, Anyways, good work.

Hi Brende,
was hard to see in the preview what kind of animal that was, almost expecting an armadillo.
I was close .. ok maybe not that close, but I had the armor right. This little frog looks like its armored with those pebbles.
Wonderful capture, very interesting and full of nice details.

Hi Brenda,
excellent shot, love all the detail and the DOF is excellent. Good natural colour and very good clarity - well done!

Hola Brenda.

Hello Brenda

A very good low POV for this frog covered in bits of bark.
It looked like a toad when I first saw it.
The colours appear natural and the details and textures show well.

Hi Brenda,
Great image. You managed to get a nice glint from his eye and a good depth of field. It seems that he uses sticks and sand to camouflage himself in addition to his mottled brown colouring.
I also like your note, very interesting.

best wishes,

inded camouflaged, TFS Ori
