[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
I'm actually not sure if this is a Common Tern or Forster's Tern. Anyone know? Territorial, this tern would drive out any others in its fishing hole. Once a fish was caught, the tern would fly a 1/3 mile against the wind to the nest and then fly all the way back to this spot. It was interesting that this pic came out in a perfect X formation.

Very cool picture, Ken : ) Great pose. Impressive catch of the tern in mid-flight. Those guys move around very fast, so that was amazing. Well done. : )

Superbe image.

Félicitation pour l'éclairage et la pose de l'oiseau.

Ken this is lovely. Very sharp, great composition (and timing), great BG and DOF. Excellent :)

Great capture, perfect pose and very good POV. Just too much empty space on bottom.
Well done.

L'angle de prise de vue est parfait Ken, dommage que les deux ailes soient un peu mois nettes. Trés belle photo tout de même et félicitations Didier.

Excellent action shot Ken. I love tail and those bright legs and feet. Crisp clear shot. Perfect! Thanks.

Perfect pose and composition Ken. Very good sharpnes and Dof. Fine background. Pity the beak was in the shadow. It would be great to see that bright red color.
well done.

Great picture! Very well frozen action. Sharp details, good POV, great DOF, nice colors (love the orange legs). Well composed also; because he's looking down I think it's very good that you left some open space in the bottom. Great OOF BG also!! :) TFS!

Regards,
Pieter

Well caught, a nice frozen moment...the bird is well isolated from the background, and is sharp where it counts...little bit of burning out on the neck and leading edges which is a shame, but still an effective image.

Hi Ken. This is a fine image. I too like the "X" shape . . . and a square crop, with each point of the "X" pointing directly into a corner, would make this very, very strong graphically.
Fine focus (manual?), perfect dof, and good exposure. A beauty!

Sheldon (shel)

Ken, to me, a perfect shot.

I'd be very happy if I had taken this.

Congratulations.
