Nice composition mate, excellent detail and I like the narrow D.O.F putting the three background Galah's into that softened area, well framed,
Cheers Rick :)

Hello John. These are very nice birds birds to be abundant in Australia. Hard to find Cacatua in nature or roaming freely here in Malaysia. You have captured them well under diagonal light keeping one in good focus. Thanks for sharing this image and well written note. Best regards. Jusni
A lovely shot - good composition and low POV with good colour and superb detail. Well observed and captured.
I have seen huge flocks of these in the Outback and also in farming areas - so they are there!
This is a funny situation, but I don't know what they are looking for here, maybe worms?
A fine composition including two groups of birds, fine details in the bird in focus...
Whatever it is they are eating it for sure seems to be tasty!
I had never seen parrots 'grazing' before either! What an interesting sight! They are filling a role like geese!
Lovely composition, details and dof.

I like you composition with the group of birds With the main model perfectly in focus and its friends fading into the background.
Wonderful colors and lovely presentation.

Hello again John,
We tried several times to get good shotsof Galahs, but they were either too far away or the light was wrong. So it's nice to see a shot that I would liked to have taken. It has good lighting and sharpness and the POV is pleasing.
TFS this fine image,

What a fine bunch of Galahs, a species I would have liked to have seen more of in NSW.
Beautiful light and fine sharp focus on the first one. I like the others soft in the background. Beautiful colours too.
Many thanks, Ulla

The colors of these birds attracted me to their thumbnail in your portfolio, John.
It is an amazing species of parrots.
The one in the foreground is in sharp focus and displays its features in precise detail and rich colors.
The formation of them on the groung is also attractive.
Thanks and regards,

The bird in the front seem to be attrated by the photographer. The point of view is showing the details and colors of the birds. The subject is well framed. The light brings out the colors. Pierre
