English name : Yellow stagshorn – Scientific name : Calocera viscosa - Family : Dacrymycetaceae.
Description : Bright orange or orange-yellow, greasy and viscid, with antler-like branches often forked near the tips. The common name Jelly Antler Fungus is sometimes given to this species. In dry weather, the colour can become orange-red. Size : Up to 10 cm tall. Spores : white. Fruiting through most of the year, but particularly prevalent in autumn. Habitat : On roots and stumps of conifers. Not edible.

Une photo tres originale! TRES BIEN!

C'est un de ces champignons qui ne ressemble à rien d'autre et qui est vraiment très décoratif, avec une couleur unique. J'en ai photographié, et trouvé très difficile de bien les réussir, car la texture visqueuse donne l'impression qu'ils sont toujours flous. C'est très bien réussi sur cette photo, avec un sujet qui tranche bien sur l'arrière-plan. Très bon cadrage, Christian.

Jamais vu cette variété, cela ressemble à du corail, belle presentation, j'ai trouve un coin assez sympa pour les champignons en Region Parisienne.

Christian, you do have a great skill in composing these kinds of shots. This is no exception.

Excelent colors and sharpness.

Taking into account that you only have auto setting and that f:2.8, this is a very good picture. I love this fungus, I hope to find it one day. Regards.
