Hello all! We are home for a few days between trips to Utah and Wyoming....and later to Montana. I've taken a quick look at some of your great photos but haven't much time right now. I'll try to get caught up later.

We have, through the years, tried to photograph bald eagles in all sorts of places but located this one about a mile from our house!!. There is one nesting pair. They were doing the mating ritual of locking talons and free falling. Couldn't catch that as there were too many trees in the way... but managed a few action shots.

I hope spring is pleasant where you are... We've had snow, hail and wind just this week in Oregon! Utah was drought-dry and we survived gale force winds with accompanying dust/sand storms!...strange times!

Hello Evelynn,
A fantastic ritual with splendid poses. I would have love to see this. Beautiful contrasting colours with the clear blue BG.

Peter

Hello Evelynn,
Glad you are back; and there was no unpleasant grizzly meeting. Yes, I'm worried:-).
Weather is more or less okay here, thank you.
I see I can cancel my Airshow this weekend as you provided me an excellent one. Well, the Bald eagle actually:-).
Very good in flights...fantastic moments!
Well done..

Hi Stranger

Hope you had a great trip. Great collage - a variety of excellent poses with good detail and colours. It makes my heart leap when species make a comeback - I have been seeing a Red Kite near my house - at one stage there were only a handful of pairs in the whole UK.

James

Excellent series of pictures. Nice action and so nearby. Good detail. They work very well in this combination. Nicely done.

I was reviewing some pictures at Detroit Dam the other day and noticed a bald eagle in one of them that I had not seen before. But I was much to far away to record any decent detail on the bird. Gotta get a long focal length lens. :)

Bellissima immagine, eccellente nitidezza e grande ricchezza di dettagli, splendidi colori. Grazie e complimenti.

Superb acrobatics! Superb shots!
I cannot imagine the skills that it took
to catch the eagle in motion in all those shots.
A fantastic illustration of this amazing mating ritual.
We miss you here.

Hi Evelynn, great collage of splendid photo with a superb flyng eagle, great quality and excellent sharpness, very well done, ciao Silvio

Nice montage Evelynn -- it almost makes this seem like a moving picture. My favorites are the top left and bottom right -- I think either could stand alone, too.
Mike

Hi Evelynn
Glade to see your back. These are some great shots of a very amazing bird. I really like all the diffident poses. Lots of detail in these in-flight shots.I still have a lot of trouble with in-flight shots you did very well here. I know its not EZ. As you seen my encounter with the Eagle. I was kind of surprised my self in some of the shots. Because in a little 12 foot bout I move a little and the bout moves alot. Out of 170 pics I got 27 really nice ones. Any way I really like these shots. Great Job!!

Hello Evelynn,
Browsing through your interesting gallery I found this brilliant presentation of the Bald Eagle in flight. It is such a beautiful bird and you demonstrate its acrobatic ability very well here! Great focus and beautiful light. A lovely blue sky too as a background.
Well done!
Many thanks and cheers, Ulla
