It is a very good photo of the flower! Very good way of rendering flower's petals color and especialy texture. I find interesting the lighting conditions rendering nice rich colors despite the white and yellow of the flower.

When I first saw the thumbnail in the gallery I did not look at the name of the photographer and thought it was one of Ori's postings as this is so typical of his work. Great was my surprise when I saw it was actually you who captured this beauty, but then reading through your notes I came to the last paragraph and there I saw that Ori actually assisted with the ID. That was when I noticed he did the 1st critique and the coincidence of the experience just made me smile.

Now the point I'm trying to make is that I have tremendous respect and admiration for Ori Sapir (fragman)'s floral contributions to this site and I have a high opinion and regard for your birds, animals, butterflies, etc., but just to point out the specific beauty of this posting by confusing it with one of Ori's flowers hopefully tells you something of my appreciation of this shot. Shucks, I hope I explained this one correctly and without being misunderstood so no one needs to go and take some malpitte to chill-out as I really mean this as a great compliment (chuckle).

The flower and the plant jumps out of the frame towards the viewer as the dark BG stands in absolute contrast to the brightly coloured subject. Actually the image can hardly contain this beautiful flower and it seems so real to me that I can almost smell it. Excellent details, lovely colours, an amazing composition all adds to the visual feast.
