We were lucky enough to catch a spring snow in Yellowstone. I hurried out to the Lamar Valley, and was just blown away. I have always fantasized about shooting a Yellowstone bison in the snow, but I was always too wimpy to head out in the winter.

Hi Mike,

Lucky with snow in the spring,it are your words, but I would prefer some warmth, anyway you made a nice capture and exposure is good, which is most of the time not that easy with dark subjects in the snow,I like this well presented snowy bison, thanks for sharing and let the sun come,

Hello Mike. Nice shot of this snow covered bison. Well posed in full frame. Thanks for sharing and very well done. Regards. Jusni

Very nice shot Mike, the snow really makes it. I love the detail seen on this guy with that rough snow encrusted hide. Exposure is good, you have good light on the Bison, under difficult conditions, nice capture of the eye.

Thanks, John

Hi Mike,
Great to see a photo from you again. And what a photo it is. You are so lucky to live that close to stunning nature.
I like the pose you've captured here. it clearly shows that it must have been a cold and windy day. Even the bison isn't enjoying it.

Hi Mike,
Glad to hear you over came your "wimpyness" :)
Detailed shot of the bison, looks great in this Spring snow..
Well done & TFS,

Hi Mike,

The bison in the field is impressive. The reflection of the light on the snow brings out the colors. The subject is well framed. Have a nice day.
