Hello Brenda,
sorry can not help you out with the ID!
but you had captured it in the most natural way and a good closeup of it!
good clarity, natural colour and details in the shot!
many thanks
best regards
Tony
Bella macro di funghi, ottimo POV basso, buona composizione, belli e naturali i colori. I funghi dovrebbero appartenere al genere Agaricus. Grazie e complimenti. Ciao Maurizio

Hola Brenda:
A mi me gusta mucho ir al bosque a buscar setas, hongos pero estas que nos muestras desconozco su identidad. LO que si está claro es que los presnetas estupendamente en tu foto como para poder identificarlos alguien que entienda.
Un abrazo
Josep

hello Brenda
excellent macro shot of this fungi, with very fine POV and DOF,
i love the smoothness of the luminosity and the colours
(j'aimes la douceur de la luminosité et des couleurs),
i love alos the low very fine POV at the level of the subject,
i am feeling myself like the schtroumpfs (the cartoon), TFS

Hola Brenda,
First of all about the photograph: it would have been visually great if You use a scissor and make a bit of "gardening" (= cutting the grass-blades from between the lens and the focused area). You said You didn't have experience in fungi photography, so I rather tell my advice to the future: don't forget to include a scissor into Your photobag (it isn't a shame, for example I do it also, and I learned it from Felipe - 'extramundi') to avoid the out of focus grass-blades.
ID: this is an Agaricus species without doubt, but it's impossible to tell exactly which one. It's a very difficult genus to identify species from, and if You identify only from the macroscopic features, knowing the smell and color change of flesh is a must. If You cut / break an Agaricus, its flesh turns color, in the case of group 'flavescentes' from white to yellow, of group 'rubescentes' from white to red, mostly in the stem base. So, without knowing this and the odour I have a very difficult work. So please handle the identification below as not sure at all.
Looking at the cap color + texture, the more or less smooth stem (but unfortunately not seeing the ring zone on the stem, although it would be important also), the pellicle (remain of velum partiale) on the younger specimen in the background and reading the note where You found it, You probably photographed Agaricus subperonatus (J.E. Lange) Singer, but please don't forget I can't be sure without knowing the important macroscopic features. So this is rather a chance.
Have a nice weekend, best regards, László
