Hi All,
Please do not faint, yes I am posting a landscape. This is for Bob Shannon, as I was thinking of him and his wilderness when I took it. With the temperatures reaching into the high 70s, the snow pack in the west and central areas of the Park are melting quickly. This morning Lucy finally saw her first Grizzly of the year and it was a sow and twin cubs of this spring, we watched them for a couple of minutes until Mom herded them into the trees. Then we watched a wolf trotting through the Lamar Valley with the catch of the day. Finally we watched another Grizzly traversing a side hill near Grizzly Lake. All these sightings were long distance, but even getting to watch through binoculars is great. Have a great weekend everyone.

Hi Rick. This is a nice picture for Bob I am sure he will love it. Well you still have snow. You must have a short summer. I like you POV which shows the river winding its way up the hill. Good use of the light which in turn has given bright natural colours. well done TFS.

Hello Rick,
Very good depth in your image partially due to river coming towards the viewer and then disappearing again in the background.
Well done

Hi Rick,

Coming from the Frozen North myself this very familiar scene. Very good capture of this beautiful view. Good composition and lighting and very beautiful colours.

Beautiful landscape shot Rick,
Great exposure, composed very well with good colour in the water, trees and sky. Sounds like your having a great time watching wildlife out there. Have fun! TFS.

Wow...Taken today eh? Well watch your way on the coming home...floods are expected in areas in which you might travel becuase of the hot weather...what is the worst that could happen? You could actually have to spend a few more days in this paradise and watch it melt! You are a cleaver man Rick. I thought of you and I also thought of how I would treat this image...you did it in splendor and you have a lot of folks who really appreciate what you have done for a vacation...I hope ya'll come out of those Mnts. safely....and not at night when the ice will surely be on the roads..

Nice, Rick. It looks like a couple days after the snow. But a beautiful landscape, the snow looks a bit refreshing given the warmth in most of the west today.
It looks like we just missed one another in the park.

Hi Rick,
Outstanding landscape shot with great colours and details. The blue sky compliments the snow covered land and the long trees. The snake shaped river looks fantastic and gives a fine perspective. Superb lighting and exposure levels. Excellent POV and composition. Kudos.

This is an incredible shot, Rick!
The winding river adds great depth and interest to the shot.
Very good composition.
Superb exposure too.
Even if you don't take many landscapes... you've definately got the skill to do it!

Very well done!
