Ixobrychus minutus (TR: Küçük Balaban, En. Little Bittern, Da. Dvĉrghejre, Du. Woudaapje, Fi. Pikkuhaikara, Fr. Blongios nain, Ge. Zwergdommel, It. Tarabusino, No. Dvergrĝrdrum, Sp. Avetorillo común, Sw. Dvärgrördrom).

Photo was taken in Filyos in Zonguldak. It breeds in reedbeds. Winters in marshes and reedbeds around lakes and fishponds. The area where I take the photo was a small marshe close to centrum.

This is my third photo of this species.

Hi Mustafa

An excellent shot of this bittern. In Australia this species is very hard to find, never mind photograph.
Great pose and composition. Excellent sharpness and details. Great POV.

I love the warm colours of this shot, the bird is absolutly sharp, well detailed and, if you know what I mean, has a BG, in the literal sense.

Hello Mustafa,
I missed this fine capture of a Little Bittern, a species that is very rare in Sweden.
I like the pose, POV and technical quality of this image and the composition is great.
