Araneus Diadematus.
I alerady posted this poem 2 years ago, but I think it is beautiful, so here goes again for newer members.
Hope you like!

Our cradle empty, we shall climb
To a high place, to catch the wind
And fly, strewing gossamer as we go,
Singly, flowing without will, to land

We shall know, by the compass
Blotched in white upon our backs,
Where to spin the spokes, and how
To spire the wheel; with one leg, feel
The trembling.

Approach too fast, and we shall quake,
And blur the whorl with shaking
From the underside, the compass
Pointing down, our legs the eight points

At night we eat the orb, conserve
The silk, to spin again by morning,
Indelicately, cramming all
Into open mouths, every spoke

We spin the globes of nurture
After mating, span them so,
With loving claws, adore the
Minor worlds we make, compass

Entwined in silk, their spinnerets
Are forming, massed bundles
Of eyes, and legs, and fangs
Entangling. Each of us

Hola Felipe y Cristina, excelente fotografia de la Araneus diadematus, nitida con buen color, luz y detalles. Muy bonito el poema, un saludo.

Hello Felipe,

This is an excellent shot of the spider!
The exposure is sharp and the details are wonderful. It is so interesting to see these vivid markings which are usually beyond the the scope of the human eye. I never realised before that spiders stand on their tiptoes. They must be very sensitive to movement!

Kind regards,
Bev :-)

Hi Felipe,
Not fungi, but fantastic. Colors, details, everything... An absolute masterpiece. Hats off.
Regards, László

Hi Felipe.
Wonderful poem and amazing in every respect shot. You have reflected all even tiny details and attractive features of the fine specimen of spider brilliantly. Fantastic sharpness and details, wonderful lighting and colours. Web s reproduces so perfectly as main object. Neutral smooth BG supplements the spider image greatly. Bravo. Excellent job.

Preciosa y didáctica toma, con un acercamiento impresionante y enfoque de experto :-) que nos muestra perfectamente texturas y detalles. Buena captura del color.
Saludos: Josep Ignasi.

Hello Felipe, this is a very good shot of this spider, with it's web, the colour and detail found on this one is very good. Normally these guys hang in their web, head down. Should this be turned by 90 degees?

Thanks, John

Hola Felipe

Hi Felipe,
perfect shot of a beautiful Araneid spider. It is a difficult species because of its bulk (DOF), but you mastered this well.
Best regards
