[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Hi everyone,

Yesterday Felipe ("extramundi") commented this image of mine, and wrote this specie, Coprinus comatus is his favorite among the edible fungi.

So, my Friend, I'd like to dedicate this image with Your fave mushroom to You, for Your continous and neverending support in order to improve my skills as a photographer. I can't tell with words how grateful I am for Your help and advices.

I found this piece of Shaggy Mane (Coprinus comatus) in the Southern Bükk, just a few hundred yards from this bunch of Calocybe gambosa (St. George's Mushroom).

Shot: from steady hands. :) PP: little white balance correction, noise reduction, gaussian blur with 2,4 pixels radius selectively on the greenery, sharpening the fungus, framing, typing, re-sizing. Please tell Your opinion either You like or don't like the pic. Thanx in advance.

Hello Laszlo,
No fungi here in south Sweden at the moment - the ground is bone dry! We didn't see many last autumn either so this post of yours is a delight to see! Excellent sharp focus on this beautiful mushroom. Fine sharp details and it looks good amongst the dead Oak leaves. Well done!
Many thanks, Ulla

very nice, I like the setting and the focus, on the mushroom

Nicely composed, Laszlo. I like where you've placed the mushroom and the bacground, too. Great job on the exposure, too (white and black make for a lot of difficult contrast).

Thanks very much for your dedication, it is a great pleasure to receive this present from you :)
I can see that it is also your camera's favourite, you always get beautiful captures in perfect enviroments.
Thanks again, hope to have some time soon to answer you email properly.
Yours, Felipe.

Hello Laszlo,
It is amazing to see how early the mushrooms pop up in your location, here they are mostly an autumn occurrence!
This specimen is captured with fine details and nicely isolated from the back...
A pleasant composition!

Hi Laszlo

Thanks for the kind words on my recent posts.

Again I like this composition of yours because it include the environment the fungi is captured. At the same time, beacuse the background is blurred, the mushroom still stands out on its own. Great stuff.
Maybe a bit OE on the top of teh fungi, but apart from that its great.

Thats a great capture. I love the contrasts between the brownish, dead leaves and the white mushroom. You've composed this shot very nicely. Color combination, composition and overall presentation is top notch. Excellent work.

Best Regards,

How beautiful!! I like a lot the POV and composition, with that curious Coprinus comatus on the left. Magnificent sharpness and contrast with really beautiful colors.
