[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
I would like to share one of my favourite landscape shots in TN. This is Gurudongmar Lake, situated at an altitude of around 17,500 ft at North Sikkim, India. This is a sacred lake for Buddhists.

How to reach Gurudongmar - Gangtok, the capital of Sikkim (One of the states in India) is the gateway to Gurudongmar. From Gangtok you have to go to North Sikkim by car. You will reach Lachen a small village (max 40-50 houses) in upper Himalaya(altitude around 9500 ft). Night stay at Lachen. For Gurudongmar you have to start very early morning in next day. The lake is at an altitude of 17,500 ft. One should be very careful after reaching there. Oxygen is very less there. So walk very slowly, take rest, speak less, just enjoy the beauty of the lake and mighty HIMALAYA.

amazing landscape, TFS Ori

Ashadharon shot! The panaromic view along with the vast lake and shores of the lake give a wide feeling. Colours are wonderful. And above all the rays of the sun cuting through the deep blue sky and falling on the sparkling water create a serene and breadthtaking atmosphere. The white snowy rugged mountains on the right give variation in colours and shapes. Great work.
