A pair of damselfly in a middle of an action...

I 'chased' them till I get the right frames that I wanted, this frame was the best in terms of composition, it is almost full-frame picture.
They start mating when the sun went on, before that they rest on the bushes.
Damselflies are very small, something like 30mm and they eat small bugs, you can find them near water sources.

Can someone help me to identify which is the male/female here?

Hi Elroyie!

Very good picture, as you wrote, composition is perfect and it was worth your efford. Blurred BG looks also excellent. You catched nice moment from life of these common damselflies.

A lovely, sharp shot with a nicely blurred background. The male is at the top, gripping the female behind the head with the claspers on his tail. Cheers Steve

Merhaba Elroyie,
Harika bir yeşil artalan önünde tüm ayrıntıları ortaya konmuş yusufçukların enfes bir karesi olmuş. Böceklerin farklı renkleri ve diğer ayrıntıları ustaca işlenmiş. Elinize sağlık.
Hüseyin.
