This is a siberian tiger , taken at the Buffalo Zoo.The Siberian tiger (Panthera tigris altaica) is a rare subspecies of tiger (P. tigris). Also known as the Amur tiger, it is confined completely to the Amur region in the Far East, where it is now protected. It is considered to be the largest of the six tiger subspecies and the largest member of the family Felidae.

Unusual framing but fit's quite well. However the fact that Siberian tigers are the largest of this species is quite controversial. Recent research and findings show that Bengal tigers (Panthera tigris Bengalensis) are supposedly bigger with the exception of their shoulder length being smaller.
