[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
With the onset of Winter in New Zealand, the bird life around my home has increased dramatically. I don't have to travel too far to see and photograph some beautiful birds. I have setup two old plant pot saucers on top of our fence. The big size is nailed to the fence post and I sit a smaller saucer inside which holds a sweet mixture of brown sugar and water. This has attracted the New Zealand Tui and Silvereye. here are two Silvereye who appeared to be inseparable. They visited on and off all day today.

Each time I looked outside to see who was visiting for a drink, there was either a Tui or two Silvereye. The Tui I will post tomorrow night, so watch this space.

The birds I have visit my trees and feeders are:
New Zealand Tui
New Zealand Wood Pigeon
Eastern Rosella

and of course the wonderful House Sparrow. Thanks for popping by.

Nice shot Pam,
I like the POV, good sharp details and colours.
Brown sugar and water sounds like an interesting mix to attract the birds. Well captured, thanks for posting, have a good weekend

So cute silvereyes! What a faces :-) They said - Pam, where is our food? I like composition, even this plastic bowl isn't very disturbing.

Lovely images of these two birds - its clear how they got their name!

Hello Pam,

Very sharp details, good pose of both birds and great composition. I do not like the plastic drinkbowl that much however. Well done & TFS!

Belle photo, Pam

Non seulement les couleurs sont magnifiques, mais tous les détails sont d'une netteté incroyable.

L'oiseau de droite semble défier toute personne qui voudrait l'approcher. J'espère que ce n'est pas à vous que ce regard s'adresse.

Its interesting to notice the similarity in "your" silver eyes and "my" white eyes. With the winter on the doorstep I have started to put out food for them as well. They love fruit, an apple a day. Take some old branches and tie them to the post of the feeder. Stick the apple on a twig and they will be there. The twig makes a much nicer setting than the feeder. Will forward a photo of my "adjusted" feeder.

Technically nothing wrong with the photo, Pam.

Aah, how cute! I've never seen these birds before. They are beautiful. Excellent sharpness. I may have tried a tighter crop, though.
I've tried a workshop. It's a little small, now, but perhaps with a crop like that you could have got more detial in.
