From her belly, I can tell this squirrel, (named Mama) is a new mother. She was more interested in food, and although she regarded me warily, she decided food was far more important than I was - a good thing.

Hello Kathy
She is a cute little mother to be and good for her to place food first before fear and flight so that she can obtain all the required norishment to ensure baby is healthy and well developed. She gave you a good pose and you managed to photograph the little rodent in all her beauty. The depht of field ensured good focus with sharp details of her fur and that cute little tail. Thanks for showing.

Excellent image of this new mother Kathy,
Very sharp with wonderful detail and natural colors. Love the eye contact and pose you captured.
I never tire of watching these little bushy tails, they are always so curious and full of energy. We have them down along the river where I work, and a large percentage are jet black in color. TFS.
