[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Here is a large Jumping Spider which I found on my friend's head in Spain :-)
This spider was a great poser and I got a few funny shots of it peering round the edge of a jam jar, I'll post one of those pics soon.
If anyone knows it's proper I.D. then I'd really appreciate it :-)

I hope you like it!

Hi Joe!
Great close-up! Jumping spiders are my favourite family of spiders, these are so cute! ;>
Fantastic details and DOF. Nothing to add.
If you agree I would like to add this picture to
the theme on Salticidae of the world :)
By the way, I will ask my friend working on these spiders, maybe he would be able to help with ID :)
Greetings,
Radomir

Hi Joe!

Strange thing - your friend has got very flat head :-) But seriously - very good macro of jumping spider. Frontal POV looks great, all eyes are shinning and detailed. Nice frame and composition with not disturbing BG. I like it!

Hi Joe,
A nice capture of this beautiful Spanish Jumper. Very well composed with sharp details and nice frontal POV. Thanks a lot for sharing.

great close up! and great angle, TFS Ori

Let me see if I have this right...You found this "thing" on a friends head? Great. Add some drama why don't you?:-) Keen eyes...both the spiders and yours as well...grasping or even imaging these is tricky. I find myself waiting but in a nervous state by thinking it will hop off any minute. Fine macro for your collection.

Hi Joe

This is probably your best macro of a jumping spider yet! My humble compliments!
The details and DOF you managed here are simply exceptional and the full-frontal POV works terrific in adding a bit of drama to this shot :) Technically, a very, very good shot!

On a personal side, i really don know why they make mascara adds with the likes of Penelope Cruz...this would be a much better actor. I mean look at those eyelashes! :))))

Great stuff, mate!
Bravo and TFS

PS: i also took a look at your photo.net account. Wonderful work there, too!

Hi Joe,

Another WOW! I never thought I would call a spider cute but this one really is. I love the sparkling eyes and eye lashes. Magnificent natural colors and superb details and textures. A perfect pose and background.

Hi OwlMan Joe,
A superb macro shot focused the eyes level of the spider.
Amazing details and great clarity.
I also photograped some spider shots from Cyp and TR but I could not determine their ids:(
Many thanks for sharing this Joe!
Well done! Have a nice weekend!
