I have not posted in a long while. Not like I haven't wanted to, but everytime I go out in the woods, nothing! But now I can finally end the drought!

This is a Peregrine Falcon. It can be found from the arctic region to the tropics. It also has the reputation as being the fastest animal on the planet. Diving at prey up to 200mph!

It feeds on medium sized birds and small mammals.

Hello Chris,
Nicely done close up. I wonder if it's captured during a bird of prey show?
I do like the neutral background. Good posture; I think he's aware he is very fast:-)

Hi Chris,

What a fantastic shot!! How close were you? Also, what kind of a lens were you using? I want one, whatever it is! Excellent detail and studio-quality background. TFS.

Hello Chris,

A very good close-up detailing the deadly beak, that superb plummage and alert eyes.

The bird is placed perfectly in frame for best composition.

Kind regards,
Bev :-)

Wonderful picture of an amazing bird. I like its expressive pose and glance, excellent impressive framing and composition of the image, terrific details and exactness of the colours. I also like fine colourful BG which decorates the image of a nice bird perfectly. Well done and kind regards.
