This dragonfly nearly mowed me down on its quest to find a nice resting place (and very nearly gave me one in the process!). Once settled, I tried to sneak up on it to get this capture.
No tripod was used, so I crouched, and just as I prepared to snap the photo, I fell on my bottom - an embarassing moment to be sure!
Still, this insect seemed to understand that I meant no harm to it. Although I could've been more patient, taken several more captutes, and waited until it landed in the shade, I was spellbound by the flower it chose to rest on. |

Well composed pic that shows good detail and sharpness of the subject. The DOF and BG are also both well done in this pic.
