Hello Nagraj,
Very nice sharp picture of this ladybird. It is not Harmonia axyridis. There is a very nice site over ladybirds, it is: www.angelfire.com/bug2/j_poorani/ladybirds.htm . The correct ID might be Synonycha grandis.
Very good light and colours.
Cheers,
Mariki
Hi Nagaraj. Thats the fun of taking picture we spoke about. Your one shot was a good one. We have lady bugs but not so round and a little more red in colour. This was a good close up with fine detail in the shell. with a view of the head. The light has given you natural colours. well done TFS.
Nick..
Namaste Nagaraj,
a nice documentation of this ladybird species. Colour patterns on the elytrae but also on head and thorax
are well presented and very sharp. Light conditions were obviously not optimal as can be deduced
from the parameter settings. Neverhtless, you achieved pretty good sharpness and focused just in the right plane.
Usually, Harmonia axyridis shows a 'W'-like black pattern on the thorax which is not shared by your
specimen. Therefore, I suggest that it is another more Indian-specific species which I do not know.
Best wishes, Peter

Wonderful capture, Nagraj. Great detail on the face and antennae. Very nicely don.e Nice placement in the frame and good bg. This s clearly very round, bc the top of the shell is just a tidge OOF (despite shooting at f/8. And there's no way you could have shot this at 1/20th!).

hello Nagaraj,
This Ladybird has a very special shape and looks cute. If they move fast, it is quite complicated to make an excellent picture. But on TN the documentary value counts also and I like to see some less common species.
Thanks and best regards

Hi Nagraj,
Nobody can dispute the fact that "Wildlife photography is so exciting because of the uncertainties" and your notes is a example of that. From your notes its evident that this fellow did not give you much time and for the time you have got, this is a decent picture, with good composition and decent sharpness.
TFS,
