What a fine photo with such a good image! The sharpness of the image is impressive as even wing's texture can be clearly seen. The colors are rendered wonderfull being vivid and natural.
There is an excelent contrast between the insect and the blurry background.

The picture is a gem, perhaps why the name sounds gem-like in quality..gram yellow is an old mountain term for the color of gold dust in a gold pan..placer gold that is...

A beautiful capture of this pretty Gram Blue. What is the secret of getting a butterfly in a wonderful position like this? The pose atop the lovely bud is excellent. Beautiful colors and terrific details of the face, antennae and marvelous wing patterns. Background and composition are magnificent.

Such a tiny butterfly on a tiny plant! The dof really brings out some amazing colors of both the plant and the butterfly. The clarity is amazing, the colors are vivid, and when I see these two contrast against each other, one needing the other to survive, I am reminded of how fragile not only life is, but our environment as well. Kudos for posting a fantastic capture.
