I wish I could say that I planned this shot, but the truth is, I happened to catch this out of pure luck. I had tossed some peanuts (unsalted) so I could entice him a bit closer to me, but I wasn't prepared for how quickly he'd bound my way.

I admit laughing, and amazingly, he wasn't scared off by the sound. I was flat on my stomach (good thing for those allergy inhalers/pills!) in order to catch this.

Now it's true that I've managed to get some unusual captures, but this has to be in the top five on my list of unexpected and luckily caught moments.

Until this photo was uploaded, I didn't even know what I had, and given the the pure joy I see in both the movement and expression, it wasn't hard to give this a title.

I'm still getting used to the camera, and while it could be better composition-wise, I feel like I caught a terrific moment and I'll take it - perfect or not. :-)

Hello Kathy

It looks like this little one will do handstands for peanuts.
Well timed to catch a unique and fun pose.
Very well composed with sharp detail.

Hi Neighbor. Well timed capture of this action rabbit in shallow depth. I like the sharp focus and details especially around the head and eye. Very good framing and thanks for sharing. Have a wonderful weekend, Kathy. Regards. Jusni

What I found from my very limited photography experience is that great action shots happen exactly the same way as this one did - just luck. All you have to do is spend the time in the field taking photos and eventually something is gonna come up. Great work. TFS.

Best Regards,

Hi Kathy,
Couldnt agree with you more....what a lucky shot....i love this jumping jack ...fantastic eye contact and frozen action. The environmnet fades away as one looks at the shot and only the cute guy comes in focus.A very admirable shot.

Hello Kathy,
Maybe a lucky, but beautiful shot. Good sharp focus and natural colours. Excellent POV and DOF. Funny pose.

Great shot! Perfect timing and excellent pov. May be a little more contrast could help. Anyways, a very amusing picture indeed.
