Hello friends

Here is another shot from my Croatian trip.
I know it's quite similar with some i've already posted, but this one here was an experiment with a remote control :)

I waited for the sun to drop way beyond the horizon and when there was only a thin red line in the sky, i set my tripod, connected the remote control to my camera and fired away a Bulb exposure. The water was pretty calm anyway (as it usually is on the Croatian coast) but the 5 minute shutter speed made it ice-smooth and gave the frame a very interesting contrast between the water and the edgy rocks on the coast.

I quite liked the outcome; i hope you do, too :) Thanks for visiting.

Hello Horia,
I find this both beautiful and interesting. A 5-minute exposure! I have never dreamt of such an exposure time and the result is great; the 'iciness' of the water and the light reminding me of Lake Vättern on a mid-winter afternoon.
The composition is great and the contrast between the rocky shore and the water is magical.
Thanks for sharing this fine bit bit of imaginative camera work my friend and have agood weekend,

hi horia,
excellent image, technically and aesthetically.
very good experiment with your talents and equipments, it worked well giving good results. i liked the way the slow shutter speed altered the characteristics of the water. i did a workshop, just the way i would have done to the composition, as i felt that the top blue of the sky is bit grabing the attention from the water and the rocks. hope you don't mind. tfs.

Hi Horia,
I have some shots from Spain taken just before sunrise that were over a minute long and the sea was like fog but sadly there was nothing to contrast it against, no rocks or anything like that.
This however is perfect!
The misty sea contrasts superbly against the razor-sharp rocks.
Superb composition.
Wonderful light.

Very well done mate!

Hi Horia!

Your picture is romantic, it has a kind of surreal touch and impresses by the clarity and the pure colour tones. The irrealistic water surface creates a nice contrast with the other, realistic parts of the picture.

Kind regards

Intradevar, interesant. Imi place efectul...
Toate cele bune, Oana

Looking at this picture is soothing and calming. There is something in the atmosphere that is created by the very very long exposure! Thus the details in the rocks at the foreground are amazing and the light is superb. Thank you Horia,

Hi Horia.
I welcome your unusual and interesting experiments. Result is very impressive and uncommon. Landscape is unreal and amazing, not only water but rocks and sky too. Bravo.
