Hello my Friends!
After almost two weeks I'm back with hope that because of the end of field season I'll be able to visit TN not so rare as last time :)

And today I would like to start with very fresh photo taken just a few days ago during my trip with Krzysiek (cataclysta) and Michal (cedryk) to Montenegro.

Picture was taken in Tivat Salina (Tivatska Solana) near Tivar, Montenegrian Sea Coast and presents one of only two salt-marshes areas in Montenegro.

Tivat Salina is protected as nature reserve since 2007, it is also an Emerald site under the Bern Convention. It covers some 150ha, and it is divided into pools, each approximately 3ha in size.

On the photo you can see a very characteristic plants which make here unique halophyte wetlands. The most important species of plants are members of genera Salicornia, Limonietela, and Juncetalia.
This area is also a very important bird area in Montenegro, and a place where some rare and endangered species of amphibians (eg. Rana shqiperica) and reptiles (eg. Ophisaurus apodus) are living.

These salt-marshes are very interesting because they are "based" on waters from two rivers. If you are interesting in other "types" of such biotops please feel free to watch salt-marshes from Danube Delta in Romania and from Butrinti area in Albania :>

As always thank you in advance for your time and comments!
Have a nice and sunny weekend!!! :>

Hi Radomir,
Outstanding shot and you portray this wet and salty habitat pretty well here. Beautiful layers of elements and colours and you have handled the natural lighting expertly. Excellent DOF, POV and composition.

Dlaczego Tivatska Salina a nie Cacak? ;-)Ale tak na powaznie to ladna fotka. Fajnie skomponowane z tym jakby kanalem. Jedyne do czego bym sie przyczepil to lekkie przeswietlenie na chmurach.

Hi My friend Radek,

A splendid landscape shot of this beautiful scenery with autumnal colours. Mountains andclouds in the blue sky also great. TFS my friend! Have a nice weekend! Take care!

A fine landscape indeed Radomir, and a capture just right for an ecology textbook. I'm quite impatient in waiting to see some of the more interesting faunal and floral elements of that area in the near future!

Hallo Radomir,
Wspanialy widok tak naturalny i w naturalnych kolorach ,ze myslami jestem tam na miejscu.Do tego wspaniala pogoda pieknie z tymi chmurkami tutaj podkreslona.Gratuluje.

While you were gone, I lost my Leica...hence I shall have to spend on others and you in this case to provide the wonderful landscapes I enjoy so much. What a nice deal with all three of you going together. Wonderful image of an area of which I am not at tall familiar!

Hello Radomir,
Welcome back from your trip!
A great saltmarsh habitat landscape image. The composition with the limestone mountain BG and the meandering inlet through the marsh is great with a fine perspective.
It must have been very interesting to visit.
Thanks for sharing this,
Best wishes,

Hi Radomir.
What a cute place you have pictured. I like selected subject and POV a lot. Curve of the channel, impressive vegetation. Calm shapes of the hills and cloudy sky create a nice scene. May be image of clouds is a bit OE. However, it is not an important point.
My best wishes and TFS.

Hi Radomir, lovely and peaceful landscape with splendid colors, very well done, have a good week end, ciao Silvio

Hello Radomir,
Very nice to see you back again and with a beautiful view across a salty marshland of Montenegro. Beautiful 'pink' grass and a lovely composition showing the mountains in the far distance. It looks very desolate and must be great for wildlife. I wonder what interesting finds you made here?!
TFS and best wishes, Ulla

Hi Radek

I see my favorite 3 polish zoologists have taken another terrific trip...it sounds so great that you take all these fieldworks away from home and in such beautiful areas. Maybe we should take one together next year :) How's that for an idea? Either you all come here in Romania or if you pass through here i could join you and head somewhere more to the south :) That would be great!

Anyway, nice to see you back and with a lovely presentation of a gorgeous place. From what i see and read here this looks like a great place for all sorts of zoology fields. Any cool reptiles or dragonflies captured here? :)
Anyway, from the photographic point of view, i really like your composition here - with very good FG elements created by the water and the plants and with a superb BG with the mountains and the clouds and the blue sky.
Your overall exposure here was very well managed and the DOF is spot-on.
A good note, as well!

Bravo and TFS

Postanowilem dodac maly detal do Twojej fotografii w mojej galerii :-)
Bardzo ladna kompozycje, swietnie oddajaca charakter miejsca. Moze troche przesadziles z poziomami - u mnie troche to wszystko za jasne i wypalilo chmury.

Hi Radomir,

this pictures conveys very well the special feeling of a salt marsh . It is seemingly devoid of life, but... The special colour hue is impressive. Would that be Lovcen in the background?

Best regards
