We ran another Liberty's Raptor and Reptile Centre photoday out in the New Forest today, and were lucky enough to get some decent weather for a change. With the good light and the autumn colours in the leaves, we decided to place Dudley the Barn Owl (Tyto alba) in one of the trees...

I can see that Dudley is a pro at posing.

Dudley is a very good poser...you can see how good he is by the 1/25 shutter speed that you were able to capture him at!!

Very ice capture f this Barn Owl Miles.
I might have been tempted to darken it just a bit as there are some pretty bright ptches there.
Excellent detail and composition though.

Hi Miles,
What a stunner. I love how the colored leaves make the entire photo so much more beautiful. For a photo taken in a center it looks like a total wild one. No hint what so ever of human interferance in the entire photo. Great work on the exposure, keeping all details in perfect condition.
