[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This is a view from Pine Creek Gorge which meanders through the Pennsylvania Grand Canyon near Wellboro.
The sky became very cloudy at times, so the colors of the trees lining the canyon walls seemed to change in contrast throughout our walk.

The only downside about our three day trip was that we seen very little wildlife, whether it be bird, mammal or insect. I did see a few ducks fly over while exploring this creek bottom, but couldn't identify them.

While walking one of the trails Rosie called me over to check out something, and sure enough there was a large pile of bear scat lying to the right side of the path we were on. It was filled with what looked like some type of wild berry seeds about the size of wild cherry fruit. (I also looked very closely for any signs of human hair)

Needless to say we decided to head back to the truck and check out a different area only to find another bear had visited that area also. Of coarse I wasn't a bit nervous (yeah right) I just figured if Rosie wanted to hit the high road it was OK with me.

Hehehe...they would be black bear though more than likely and don't usually attack unless they are females with cubs..We have had our share of encounters in the woods...
I see you used a nice wide angle for this one...That's what gives the image its nice wide deep feeling and taken down low even adds more...

Hi Ron,

When I was younger I would have taken off my shoes and walked on those rocks in the water! It looks like late autumn - but maybe that's because of the clouds. Another beautiful scene of the creek, changing leaves and the canyon wall of trees.

Yes, fresh bear scat can quicken the heart all right. We always carry bear spray though as yet have not had to use it. The wide angled view up this river is effective.

Hi Ron,
This is very nice fall landscape, verry pretty trees and river. Funny about the hair in the scat. Here we say; always carry bear pepper spray and a bell into bear country. If see poop and you want to know if it belonged to a bear you know it is if it smells like pepper and jingles.
