[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
I am very sad. I lost a very dear friend and colleague to cancer today. I would like to dedicate the picture of this hummingbird to his memory.
This hummingbird built her tiny nest in a tree at our school, where Al has taught his whole teaching career of almost 30 years. The nest was in an area used by hundreds of boisterous school children each day. Yet, despite all the hazards, this hummingbird was undaunted. She successful nurtured her two young with indomitable courage and unsurpassed dedication. To me, she embodies the spirit of my friend, who has touched so many lives with HIS courage and dedication. And just like this hummingbird, he was never more content than when he knew he had taken care of everybody. Take care, my friend!

I'm sorry because of your friend! Cancer it is horrible sickness. Last year my mother died to cancer too, after long 6 month infirmity.
It is most important remember our beloveds.

Yes is is sad too lose a friend, I share your sadness. I think you did good to honour your friend on this way. the hummingbird has made his nest for going on with this life. Lives go's one. Get straight.

Nice work Manyee! I like the composition and POV most here..I also lost a dear friend and business associate suddenly last year in October. It's never easy to say goodbye.
