Lesser Glory (Ipomoea obscura)

Flower: 2.5mm across; Distribution: India, Sri Lanka;
Habit: Slender, tinining anuual, commong along the roads. On the hills up to 1400m. Flowers are pale yellow to yellowish with pink tinge; Flowering: August to April.

Today I had a bad outing to lalbagh. It was very cloudy in the morning and drizzle started which lasted for more than a hour followed by some sunlight and again the clouds taken over the sky. After the rain stopped I found this flower covered with rain drops. I tried to capture the the delicate structure and colors.

Normally I don't go for this kind of cropping but here the shape of the flower demanded square format and I had to use the frame to go well with it, also to include my signature. Hope you like this image in this format.

Nice composition and color , sherpnes ist not good , wyh?

Hi Nagraj!

Although I'm not a particular friend of the square format, I agree that the subject suits it quite well. More important than this formal aspect is the simple beauty of the picture. The flower and the drops are marvellous.

Kind regards

I think the square fits here....After 4 decades of seeing images, I have seen many a square presentation which garnish awards...in this case it is the perfect way to present.

Hi Nagraj,

Nice attempt to show the beauty of the rain drops on soft petals, format is just ok to show the tiny flower in bold image. I See nothing wrong in Arturski's workshop, though its not all about sharpness.TFS

Hi Nagaraj,
Outstanding flora shot and this Lesser Glory looks absolutely magnificent with the water drops all over. Such an attractive image which is so pleasing for the eyes too. Immaculate sharpness and colours and I like your top POV to portray it. Very nicely composition.

Bonjour Nagaraj,
Très belle macro finement détaillée et délicatement colorée mais qui me semble tout de même manquer d'un peu de netteté a moins que ce ne soit une illusion provoquée par la présence des gouttes d'eau.
A bientôt sur TN pour de nouvelles aventures.

Nagaraj, Great choice of point of view. I love the rain drops. For a moment, I thought that the rain drops are at the back of the flower.

Olá Nagaraj,
Best wishes
