“CARE“
In coincidenza con il mio primo anno su TN ho scelto questa immagine, che per me assume un significato simbolico, non solo perché, come ho già scritto, il martin pescatore è stato, fra gli uccelli di piccola taglia, quello che ho fotografato di più in quest’ultimo anno, ma soprattutto perché alla “cura” del piumaggio voglio attribuire il significato metaforico della maggior “cura” che ho imparato a dare alle fotografie che presento.
Avevo accomulato una certa esperienza in campo fotografico per quanto riguarda la fotografia, cosiddetta tradizionale di tipo analogico su pellicola, sia a colori (diapositive) che in B&W (bianconero con una buona esperienza anche di camera oscura).
Il mio approccio alla fotografia digitale è iniziato 3-4 anni fa, ma solo in seguito al confronto ed ai suggerimenti del mio amico Emanuele (Estival), già assiduo frequentatore ed estimatore di TN, mi sono iscritto ed ho dato inizio a questa mia avventura, capendo innanzi tutto che nella fotografia digitale non si può prescindere da un’attività di elaborazione successiva al momento di scatto ed in questo è molto simile al B&W, che non può prescindere da una “cura” meticolosa in camera oscura.
La fotografia è scrittura con la luce e per essere efficace in termini di comunicazione deve avere come punto di partenza imprescindibile ed irrinunciabile il momento dello scatto.
Può sembrare ed a volte forse si verifica che la fotografia digitale diventi non un mezzo di comunicazione, ma di mistificazione, stravolgendo la stessa essenza della fotografia. Per fortuna la fotografia naturalistica si presta poco a messaggi distorti e TN dà testimonianza continua di questo mondo misterioso ed affascinante.

La tecnica digitale, in campo naturalistico, ha senz’altro ridotto il “gap” fra fotografia professionale e fotografia amatoriale. Tutti possiamo ammirare su TN il notevole livello di molte immagini, che spesso superano o non hanno comunque nulla da invidiare a quelle dei più esperti fotografi professionisti di fama internazionale, le cui immagini appaiono sulle riviste più prestigiose.

Ringrazio tutti (nessuno escluso) coloro che mettendo le loro fotografie su TN mi hanno sempre dato modo d’imparare ed un ringraziamento particolare ed affettuoso a coloro che in questo anno mi hanno dato consigli e suggerimenti e/o manifestato apprezzamenti.

La fotografia
E’ stata scattata con il teleobiettivo 300 mm., con misurazione della luce spot, regolazione manuale del tempo e del diaframma.
E’ stata ripresa da capanno ad una distanza fra i 2 e i 3 metri in condizioni di luce favorevole nel primo mattino, per cui le tonalità sono leggermente calde. Il martin pescatore è un uccello che predilige i posatoi e quindi si può fotografare facilmente allo scoperto e relativamente vicino, tenendo conto però che è sensibile ad ogni piccolo movimento. In questa immagine è ripreso mentre sta provvedendo alla “cura” mattutina del piumaggio, dopo essersi fatto il "bagno".

Déjà une année, je n'arrive pas à croire! Et tes contributions ont été de grande valeur, tant par leurs sujets que par la qualité de tes images. Je suis tout à fait d'accord avec toi en ce qui concerne tes considérations sur les images trop sophistiquées.
Cette image de Martin-pêcheur me plaît particulièrement,parce qu'il est occupé à nettoyer son plumage, une pose pas trop traditionnelle donc. Et la qualité au top, comme toujours.
Alots il ne me reste qu'à espérer que tu nous resteras encore longtemps sur ce site si sympathique.

I find the birds preening themselves quite fascinating, Maurizio. They contort and twist around in impossible ways to reach the itchy ares on their bodies. I notice that they do it when they are relaxed after a good feed.
This Kingfisher looks almost funny in that posture.
The image is tack sharp and colourful and the blue sky provides an apt BG for the subject.
