I Couldn't Help It
I'm so glad you found the time to post this! I know you're not enjoying it but this snow scene is beautiful. I can't imagine how many inches this must be. We didn't get the snow they threatened us with - just the below freezing temps. So, no white stuff left here. I always loved seeing the snow on the evergreens so this is a delight for me. Enjoy your Busch Lite! Hey, it has to stop sometime.

Wow, this is fantastic, Bob! You are really snowed over!!!
Hope the conditions are stable by now.
Don't over-stress yourself. As it is, you have a fragile health.
For me thousands of miles away, it is a heavenly view.
Thanks and take care.

if you did'nt write that this was shot right behind
your apartment door i would think this is on a
country road in the wilderness, i think you had much more
snow than us here in Montréal area, here in the last days
it is raining and freezing raining and i don't love that,
i love much more the snow than the rain,
lovely Christmas time composition, take car of you,

Sounds like shoveling snow got you down, sorry to hear that, but this year calls for the hand to touch the shovel as I found out for sure yesterday as I spent three hours digging out our semi and trailer off a side stree to venture to Seattle for work, my first day out in over a week.
The tree are gorgeous! Even with the gray clouds that spell, "SNOW" hovering just over the ground, this is a beauty of a shot depicting a scene from this winter.
Get well my friend,

Hang in there.
I went through this recently, and even though it seems endless, the end of March is just three months away.
I bet it is over much sooner.
I saw this in the youtube video, and this scene caught my eye in particular.I am glad you posted it.
It is very beautiful.
Stiff upper lip and all that!
it sounds that you have got a lot of snow;-) you can
send some over here, we only have a few inches, it should be around 1 m or so.
In Dec 1998 we had a big snow storm over 2 meter snow over the weekend and our town was closed for over one week,
no transportation works, no trains, no buses and no cars.
And most of the people couldn't go to work and the kids was free from school.
About your you picture; it could be from the wilderness, a fine winter scene. I think the WB is not correct so I did a WS most for fun.
Take it easy, the snow is melting when the spring will come. ;-)
Take care and rest with your back.

You're getting my smiley today because you need some encouragement to cope with all that snow and your back problem!
You've managed to take a good shot of your snow on the trees though and the light seems a bit hazy.
I hope you've had a good sleep when you read this Bob: maybe the Busch Lite has helped..
Have a good Sunday,

A very beautiful winter landscape allows you to see us. Perhaps a little too much for you, but it is nice for us Dutch. We dream of this.
Greetings and all the best for 2009.

Hello Bob !
Snow emergency - well, in some way, I wish you could send me some of your snow, because here we don't have any at all, you do have so much (too much). I hopeeverything will be well for you very soon. But your picture today is wonderful, I love snowy landscapes, you're lucky to see this behind your apartment. Very nicely composed, beautiful natural colors, I like it very much. Very well done !

o my god - a lot of snow - that looks beautiful - but I know it's a lot of work to clean the streets and also can be bad for all the trees with this weight on them.
So I wish you "all the best", I hope later you can also enjoy the view of this nature-spectacle. Greetings

I see that you've had plenty much of snow. Hope the conditions get better soon. Do keep warm indoors and take care of your back :-) It's good that you still had time to post today. The shot is well composed with a nice POV, good view from your backdoor of your apartment. Nice colors and tones. The details are really nice, crisp and clear with good lighting. Interesting notes. TFS.
This looks a tad different then when we were at your place. Any plans for all the water once this starts to melt? Good thing you have good drainage on your hill. Very wintery scene, very well documented with your sharp eye. By the way does Jane mean the snow has to stop or the Busch Lite. Glad your back pain is easing a bit.

This is a very beautiful view from your house but I understand the work it involves. You must take it easy. I think we'd prefer this though to the misty grey days we're having here at the moment!
TFS and best wishes, Ulla

Wonderful winter scene Bob,
It looks like you guys are getting it all. It was in the high 60's yesterday, which broke a record for this part of Ohio.

This is a wonderfull winter landscape with the trees covered by snow. I am sure it is better to see the photo than fighting with the snow. Take care of your back as I know what it means.

Thanks for posting and I hope it clears for you soon. I hope your back gets better too, thats one problem I know too much about. Let me tell you though, if you can ever find a traditional Thai massage lady where you live..let them do their thing, they can work miracles. I tried all sorts of stuff to fix my lower disc problem, nothing worked. Then 3 x 2hrs with a Thai masseur and the problem was fixed, I couldn't believe it. Now I go and get a half hour treatment every couple of months.
Anyway, from a photographical perspective I like you back yard shot and Gert's workshop makes it look like a winter wonderland. i'm sure its not, but TFS. Good luck and happy New Year.
