Elle est vraiment belle, ta bernache avec son bec ouvert. J'aurai voulu en faire une aussi belle, mais mes photos n'ont rien donné.

This pose brings a smile to my face, and I think the title is coming out of the swan. Very nice diagonal stretch of the long neck across the frame and still sharp in focus, while having a good bokeh blur of BG.

I can imagine how close you were to the swan from this filled up photo frame of the long neck. Great work.

A wondwerful capture, taken with excellent timing, that shows an open-mouthed Canada Goose taken from an excellent POV with great sharpness and detail. The composition of the head and neck against a fine neutral BG is first class. He may well be Saying Happy New Year and that's what I wish you too!

Valerie, please forgive me for my very very late response to this extremely beautiful and befitting new year post you made a week ago. I was in the process of moving house and made sporadic entries and exits on TN. Now I am almost settled with my son and his family.
The portrait picture of this Canada Goose is simply delightful. The Goose is smiling away in a state of extreme contentment and even showing its 'teeth' :).
Its eye too shines with the sense of happiness.
I am sure they liked your company.
