Ciao Jean, a great welcome on TN, splendid capture of fantastic dragonfly, wonderful colors, fine details and excellent sharpness, very well done, ciao Silvio

Hi Jean,
that's a wonderful dragon - first I thought it is Sympetrum flaveolum male / Yellow-winged Darter Male. But your ID can be the right one - they look similar with the orange parts at the wings. Sometimes it's not easy to identify all the different dragons.
Thanks for your shot, I like it very much.
A warm welcome here at TN, enjoy the time

Hi Jean,
Welcome to TN, fine portrait of this dragon fly using the light appropriately, the shadow adding beauty. Nice colors and details, could have been nice with some space used around this beauty. tfs.

happy to find you on T.N.,Jean !
excellent first post with this sympetrum
captured with good details

greetings sERGIO

hello Jean

Welcome to TN community. Good start with this 1st post entry to show us about your photography skill.

Yes, this dragonfly has been seen flying in the jungle of Sarawak/Borneo, mostly near to water streams. Very nice to see the strong light casting a shadow on the ground, although I would like to see more focus sharpness.

Perhaps a bit of sharpening before you upload, can be helpful. Good work for your 1st post.

tfs, bill

Hello Jean and welcome among TN members!
Nice to see another person who likes macrophotography and insects :)
The dragonfly is really nice. I am especially interesting in this photo because it was taken in Morocco - my destination in several weeks :)

Hello Jean,

You have made a good close-up of the dragonfly. I like the way you have rendered the colors. There are saturated and naturaly looking. The background you have chosen is also nicely colored matching well with the insect. Image quality is good showing sharp details of insect's wings and body.

Thank you for sharing,
