This shot is so cool.
I really like the various shapes and textures of the snow and ice.
The way the water cascades into the shot and then reappears .
There is much to look at,the ridge ,the hill with trees, the gorge itself.
A very beautiful waterfall landscape.

Looks like you had one terrific winter last year...let's hope this one won't want to compete with it :)
I simply would like a normal one (as length) and a warm and not too rainy spring. Nothing special...
This is a very nice and interesting view of Yellowstone. Not something we see everyday.
The shot is full of cool texture of all sorts, the contrast with each other very nicely, grabbing attention from the viewer.
The use of a full ND filter definitely have you that silky water effect which here looks superb...but i thought you didn't like that??
Anyway, i think the waterfall is the strong point of this composition. I find it simply outstanding, especially since it's bordered by those interesting rock formations.
The weakest point probably is the upper right corner...but it's perhaps a small price to pay.
Anyway, a lovely landscape!
Bravo and TFS
Very nice story telling there Ev...have you heard of all the swarms under eh lake and the cone???!! I appreciate this photo as it shows something which some of us in geology networks I own are now studying!

Exceptionally beautiful scene Evelynn,
Great composition with excellent exposure!!
Rosie loves waterfalls so whenever we travel we have to stop at any in the area. This one is especially beautiful with all the snow on the hillsides and pines. Love the slow shutter speed effect!! TFS.

Beautiful landscpe shot.
The POV and the composition are excellent. I liked the way you have captured the waterfalls to give it a smooth silky texture. And the snow on theose rocks reminds me of chocolate cake dusted with icing sugar.:)
Thanks for the share,

beautiful winter portrait. The tonalities are very soft and it's very interesting the way in which you captured the water movement. Optimal contrast with the brown cliffs and the froozen trees.

very nice capture and the use of an ND filter sure works well for a long exposure and it is something that I have yet to try, from what I know about this type of filter is it helps to basically stop the camera's lens down so long exposures are not over exposed during daylight hours,is this correct? It is "cool" that Rick has also seen this very same place. The image looks very good and that flowing water is what really sets it off.The colour and well focused details all offer a feast for my eyes and I say thank you for giving us this view to enjoy. This is a very cool shot, I find it very difficult to get the proper exposure while using a slow shutterspeed during the day, but you've pulled it off well. The cloudy sky must have helped! I love the composition too,

I like your picture very much. It represents pure and wild nature at best. The blurred waterfall - often seen in romantic pictures - is in contrast with the harsh environment. Also the colours, the special lighting and the shape of the snow and the rocks create an interesting tension between softness and hardness.
What!!!! you used an ND filter to slow down the shutter speed??? Did you convert to my religion? :) I applaude your idea of using it because it made the entire photo very beautiful. The soft look of the water suits the texture of the snow and feeling of the photo. It also gave you wonderful details from front to back. I love how the little stream takes you up to the falls. Ofcourse a clear blue sky would have been great, but that's something we can't control.
