[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Sparmannia africana (African Hemp) is a South African evergreen shrub, used as a garden and as a house plant as well. I was amazed to see its anthers. The inner ones have purple filamens and pollen at the edge, while the outer ones have yellow zig-zagy filaments and almost no pollen at the edge. I wonder whether the outer filaments act as part of the flower advertisment or perhaps have a different function.

That's like a New-Years-firework - what a wonderful flower.
f51!!! I'm astonished!!! Which lens do you use?
The light is wondeful, also the black BG, very well done Ori, thanks

Hi Ori,

This is a splendid photograph. Lovely bright colors and nice POV. Good lighting! I agree with Sabine that it looks like fireworks!

Hello Ori,

This is a beautiful image of this flower. Nice macro work indeed. Lovely bright colors, good lighting and sharpness, focusing is great. I love the POV and composition and specially the details which are so clear and crisp. TFS.

A unique point of view produced a fine "fireworks display" effect Ori, and that dark BG just makes it much better. TFS indeed!

Merhaba Ori,
Karenin üst tarafındaki beyaz patlamayı saymazsak harika bir sunum. Thumbnailden bakınca sanki gece atılan havai fişeği andıran bir çiçek. Emeğine sağlık.

Hello Ori,
Fantasic capture. When I saw the thumbnail you had me fooled for a second- thought it was a picture of fire works.Excellent quality. The focus, sharpness, details, colours and the background are perfect. The pOV and the way you have composd the picture are also great.
Thanks for the share,

Hi Ori,

Very interesting anthers, quite unusual and very attractive in form and color. Your photo shows them well, nice composition, although from a strictly photo composition point-of-view, I would have liked to see all of them and you cut them off a bit at the bottom of the image. As a technical illustration of the anthers, the photo is excellent though.

It looks like a huge firework explosion going off. Very beautiful. Amazing. Thanks for sharing. You have some great flower shots, I could take pointers from you!

Bonjour Ori,
