Happy New Year. Great shot of a fine bird. As always, reproduction of the colouration, plumage and all other nice features of the bird is awesome. Superb exposure of all parts of the frame. Especially I like light BG and its smoothness. Magnification is stunning. Bravo.

This is a very graceful bird with delicate features that fits it well. The colourful and perfectly shaped plumage is striking and a feast to the eye. You have captured it with great focus and sharpness. Photography at its best. The white backdrop highlights this bird's feature even with more visibility and charm. Thanks for sharing this beauty.

Long time no see! Happy new year to you. It's been a long time since I've seen a Grosbeak and this looks very beautiful. A wonderful pose - must have been cold that day. Colors are lovely and the details are so fine we can see each feather. The eye is magnificent. A superb full frame portrait.

Le durbec des sapins gonfle ses plumes pour se protéger du froid. La prise de vue permet de voir les détails et les couleurs de l'oiseau. L'image est claire et nette. L'intensité de la lumière rehausse les couleurs. Meilleurs voeux pour l'Année 2009.
