In 2002 I toured the continent of France driving a total of 3500 miles. I remember well my four weeks camping from place to place.

There's no doubt that France is a beautiful country with great diversity in its landscape. Unfortunately back then I only had a 2mp camera to capture my memory's. I did alot of panoramic shots and stitched together a number of images, here is one of them.

Mont Blanc

The French Alps are renowned for their stunning scenery complete with beautiful mountains, rolling foothills, and pristine lakes and rivers.

At 3842 m, the icy Aiguille du Midi offers the highest panorama observation deck overlooking Mont Blanc which is the continent's highest point (4807 m). The view from the Aiguille du Midi is awe-inspiring as you can see for miles in every direction into Italy and Switzerland.

Hello Stephen,

This is fantastic! What a view! I love mountains and especially when they're snowcovered. The exposure is spot on and the photo is just so crisp & clear. I really, really love this picture. Thank you for showing me this wonderful landscape. Well done & TFS!

You STITCHED that together?? From a couple of 2mp camera-shots? Hot damn, that is wonderful! If I could enlarge it, I'd frame it and hang it over my bed.

Very well done, it is gorgeous!

Wow! Spectacular shot Stephen. If you hadn't have told me I would not of thought this was from a 2MP camera. Great shot by any standards, the exposure is perfect and the lighting is exquisite.

One of the best, if not the best, landscapes I have seen on TN.

My mountain ! You made a realy good shot of this famous place !

The Mont Blanc was first conquered by Balmat and doctor Paccard, the 8 august 1786. The Mont-Blanc was mesured at 4810m in 2001 by satellite, and again in 2003 at 4808m, the last official value...

Hello Stephen!
This is WONDERFUL view! Superb place and great photo!
I really love it!

Hi Steve, a beautiful scene. I saw Mount Blanc from afar from the hills above Courcheval and Meribel in summer 1999. Such wonderful mountains, and especially here with the snow on Mt Blanc. Well shown, thank you.

Stunning clarity here, Stephen! I love how the lights and shadows shape this mountain. Nice cropping and composition, too.

Stephen, I was wondering why didnt you offer this beauty to us in panoramica format, and your "white frame" is not a escuse this time :D
Would love to see it big, but it is a BIG image anyway, thanks very much for sharing.
Regards, Felipe.
