One more panoramic aerial view from Malay Island (in continuation to my previous post) from Mahatma Gandhi National Marine Park, to show you the coral fringing reef with precipitous fall into an underwater canyon like situation on your Rt lower half of the photograph showing unique pelagics merging with the ocean depth. This view was something very exceptional to get the described photographic illustration. The island in approximation but behind Malay is Hobday followed by small islet which is known as Pluto Island.

The Andaman seabed has a steep dropoff into a canyon that is more than 500 metres deep, causing string currents and underwater tidal waves. There are also more steeply undulating hills of raven volcanic lava, which makes for some unusual diving. There are plenty of steeply sloping and shallow reefs suitable for snorkeling.

Many of the islands are surrounded by fringing reefs, often several hundred meters wide and separated from the shore by a lagoon of similar width.

Large pelagics are plentiful in these waters, as are a variety of sharks. Large schools of hammerhead often patrol the waters away from the reefs and Grey, Whitetip, Nurse and leopard sharks are found closer inshore. Silvertip and Ocean Whitetips also sometimes appear out of the deep blue beyond. Enormous manta Rays are also often seen.

Hello Subhash,
Another fine arial shot: I like the composition of the land masses with the water and the marine canyon is well seen in the FG.
TFS this and the excellent note,
