[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This 'laughing' Burchell's zebra is captured in Etosha National Park, Namibia.

Etosha National Park is situated in the nothern part of the country.

The northern part of the park isn't far away from Angola. The western part is situated in the province Omusati, a rather small middle part in the province Oshana and the eastern area in the province Oshikoto. The eastern part is open for the public and I heard in Etosha that the western will be open as well in the near? future. Or at least part of it...:-)

Some people asked about the GPS..
Until know I wasn't able to bring my GPS data into the EXIF files. The trials were errors..

What I do now to get the exact location is to verify the date and capture time of the image in the exif data.

Like that...

So...12-12-2008 07:53:11 and then I go to MapSource and search the matching date and time in the GPS files.

So,log...

On the map I can see this isn't not far away from Okaukuejo. More precisely captured while my 4W was on the gravel road more or less in the middle between Gemsboksvlakte and Kapupuhedi(C38).Google maps 1108m is the altitude.

For more info about this Zebra species, I refer to my Kruger National Park theme in which you can see many portraits
and also info about this specie in the photographer's note.

Thanks for looking. Have a nice weekend.

Nice capture, Annick. I find it's hard to capture the details in their stripes, but you've done a great job with that. What I really like, though, is his expression (he looked mad). All the technical stuff looks great -- focus, compo, DoF, light...

Great shot Annick - I love his laugh and those teeth look rather dangerous...
I like his colou7rs - we have a zebra with similar colours at our zoo, plus her baby.
Excellent capture

Albert

Great attitude to capture. Excellent sharpness and framing of course, but it's really the attitude that does it for me in this picture.

Hallo Annick

deze had ik gemist van jou, prima plaat van de Zebra met zijn bek open.
Zo ziet hij er toch nog gevaarlijk uit.
Mooie kleuren.
Zijn nekharen zijn net borstls om je klompen mee af te vegen.

Gert

great captire, TFS Ori
