Sorry, I cannot let this one pass without the well deserved smiley. I have also added it to my theme "Metallic wonders of nature". This is truly delightful to look at. The combination of colours are wonderful, and in perfect harmony with one another. The image is sharp, well focused and the composition is great. I like it very much. The shiny insect has very interesting features, one being its lovely antenna. Maybe I am just a softy but I cannot find fault. It is a delightful image, presented in a most pleasant manner. I thank you kindly for sharing.

Excellent the way you caught this Forrester-moth. It's one of the most difficult creature to take pictures from, and you did so well, especially on this nice yellow flower. Great shot! Bravo.
My best regards- Like Anna I think that this picture deserves the points!

Brilliant capture of the Forrester nicely posed on the yellow flowers. Excellent sharpness and colours. You can see clearly how the scales have been worn away on this older specimen that is still so beautiful with its combe antennae. Well done!
TFS and regards, Ulla

You have shown the insect in a very sharp image and in very fine looking colors. Even the fine scales of the wings are visible. Morover you have rendered so well their metalic shine.
Thank you for sharing,

Piekne zdjecie, bardzo cieple i przywolujace wspomnienia o lecie. Bardzo podoba mi sie kolorystyka - zestawienie zoltych kwiatow ze szmaragdowym motylem dalo piekny efekt. A sam lsniak bardzo ladnie wyszedl swoja droga :-) Nie ma sie do czego przyczepic.

Hi Alina. You have taken this with fine detail and sharp focusing. I like your top POV so we can see the green wings. Your use of the light has given natural bright colours. well done TFS.

light conditions make it sometimes difficult to achieve suitable pictures of these green forester moths.
Your picture shows the specimen well exposed - reflectances are kept to a minimum. Well focused and
excellent sharpness. Depth of field could be slightly broader to give the left wing and also the
left antenna more sharpness. f/8.0 and/or a slight shift (2 to 3 mm) of the focus plane to the back
would have been sufficient.
Best wishes, Peter
