Taken on Bear's Island. A small bit of land easily visible from the shore in Hammocks Beach State Park near Jacksonville in the U.S. state of North Carolina.
I guess he came in with the tide and didn't go back out.

I wish that I had not framed it so tightly, but would have included more of the surrounding beach in the shot. But it was very windy. The wind made it cold and was also blowing sand from the dunes, so I wasn't paying as much attention to my technique as I might usually. It was also very bright of course. I probably should have tried to compensate for that.
Any suggestions are, as always, very welcome. I want to learn!

The boat to the shore came back each hour on the hour and everyone in my group, due to the wind, was there at the first opportunity.

Thanks for your inspiring pic! The good side of your sharp framework is, that this jelly comes nice close in the visionfield. CarOze
