The Black Swan (Cygnus atratus) is a large waterbird which breeds mainly in the southeast and southwest regions of Australia. The Black Swan is also very popular as an ornamental waterbird in Western Europe, especially Britain, and escapes are commonly reported.
PL - łabędź czarny. Pochodzi z Australii, w Zachodniej Europie od połowy XIX wieku hodowany dla celów ozdobnych. W Polsce łabędzie czarne od lat 90. XX stulecia są spotykane w województwach: dolnośląskim, małopolskim, wielkopolskim, warmińsko-mazurskim i zachodniopomorskim. Są to najczęściej uciekinierzy z niewoli.
