[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This little fellow looked lonely as well as cold. Today I took some time for a little photography; I tell myself that now Mama can see everything I see - and I'm sure that she makes time as she flies with the angels to stop in and see what I'm doing.

I have a sense of serenity that is with me, and although it's been a week since mama left this world for a much better one, this photo kind of captures how I felt towards the end.

There was a sense of being alone - much like being out in the cold. Here, if you look closely, you'll see some ice on one of the branches.

Still, what is hardly seen here is the sun. Although it's not radiating much heat, there is the promise of the warmth to come; I feel that way about mama. She's up in Heaven - I know there's a wonderful existence once I leave this world - but just in case I've been a tad too bad, Mama is there to remind me of the warmth and love that will be there to greet me when we meet once again.

Meanwhile, one advantage I have is that I feel my mama is out in the field with me. Today I made my first attempt to resume a normal - albeit a new one - life.

This, humor and all is dedicated to my mama.

Hello neighbor, nice to see you've been out and about.
Sorry to hear about your mother's passing, I didn't know. As you stated, for those of us who believe, there is a much better place in store for us someday. This is the hope I share with many throughout our world, and also that keeps me motivated from day to day.
Your photo shows a beautiful little squirrel who is pondering thoughts, such as what this particular cold day will bring. I hope it found warmth and peace as the day traveled on, and so shall you..... Well done!!!
Ron

Hallo Kathy
This image is beautiful! The lighting and your positioning is perfect. An image that in my opinion have a high cuteness factor, because of its charming subject. A very charming fellow captured between the branches and the pieces of ice in between. Thanks for all your valuable contributions from your side to the site, and I am sorry to hear of your loss. Always remember your mamma is at a much better place than we could ever be here on earth. Mine is there too.
Best regards.
Anna
