Jose, this is a truly stunning picture of two Weevils, apparently mating in the crook of a wide leaf. You took the picture in the summer of last year and have now taken it out, mercifully, to share with us.
This is a huge macro but with perfect sharpness, colours and details. I like the brown of the insects contrasting with the green of the leaves.

Sorry, I won't be able to help with an ID Jose, but this lovely (and maybe a little funny) couple looks so captivating from this lateral viewpoint, the exposure is perfect and the image razor sharp! TFS this fine scene.

Yet another mating pair..this time the weevils,...the sharpness and clarity your image exudes is amazing.I love the way you managed an excellent DoF thus presenting the pair in complete focus.The details are fantastic.
The almost parallel PoV works very well.The green of the leaf makes a nice contrast to their brown and their bodies look like trimmed velvet.A very enjoyable presentation.

I like the subject very much, and the sharpness reveals rich details. The colours are superb, too. But I regret that a large part of the insects is invisible. I also miss more detailed notes.

It is a dream of every macro photographer. Details of the image is unbelievable as well as rich wonderful colours. I also like pictured scene. Both insects are looked in the leaf so attractively. It looks like true bride-bed. Bravo. Perfect macro work.

Hello Jose,

This is an excelent macro with these two insects. You have chosen an excelent DOF so that the whole body of the insects is in focus. Due to the excelent sharpness of the image excelent details can be seen. Colors are well saturated and there is a fine contrast between the colors of the insects and those of the leaf benetah.

primero gracias por tus piropos pero cada uno sabemos donde estamos jeje, eso sí, intentando mejorar. Hace dias que no visitaba tu galería y como siempre veo delicias, tanto en técnica como en arte y es que -no soy pelotas- eres de lo mejorcito, al menos a mí sabes que siempre me ha gustado tu técnica y estilo.
La especie difícil jeje. En este género ni de lado ni cenitalmente !
Tb parece pulverulentus como tú dices; también tiene parecidos con L. sanguineus.
