[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
Early March in Central Indiana. The snows of winter have melted, but the fresh colors of spring have not yet arrived. It's that time of waiting for nature to awake from its wintry slumber. In the meantime, there are signs of life. On this particular day at Summit Lake State Park, the first warm day of the year, I hear red-winged blackbirds calling, I feel the sun warm on my neck, and I see hints of green starting to poke through the ground.
And then this -- a feather firmly attached to a small branch, as tenacious as last fall's stubborn leaves which still refuse to fall. How it got here is a story I would like to hear. Unfortunately, the storyteller is long gone, so it is up to my imagination... and yours. |

Hello Randy, I like this picture of remnants of winter, or whatever happened so that feather is hanging there... like the leaf I captured on my last post. I like such details, small things make big things and pictures with some details like this are very touching. I like the wind blowing through the feather and a little bit more and it seems to move in the frame, thank you!
