Thanks for the invitation to visit your garden !
This a great picture, well composed, I like the vivid colours and contrasts on the green BG
so here it is, Amata #3, and I am happy to sit in front of my computer just when it arrived!
Unusual creative point of view, well balanced composition, excellent handling of light. However, I do have a bit of a problem here with a too much visible detail of blurred background right behind Amata's head.
Refreshing to see your always refreshing experimental approach combined with your great technical skills.
Thank you! With all my best wishes to you,

Great use of the flash to illuminate the colors and enhance the details. The DOF worked out perfectly and allowed for some a nice BG. Could it be that the photo could use a little bit of contrast to eliminate some of the more hazy parts? or would that cause the photo to become too strong in color?

What a wonderful and interesting moth at this flower that you have very well captured . I like the shape of its wings and the yellow bands around its body. Great lighting and POV with the composition being high class.
Best regards Siggi

Another brilliant image of a Nine-spotted Moth, Alexei.
This looks like a bright and sunny day in your garden last summer.
The image is pin sharp and rich in colours. The light plays a great role in making this composition so beautiful.

This moth is a beauty, Alex, and I am glad you described for us your garden. Each garden is different, printed with the unique touch of the gardener. I love it. And may the birds and insects by happy and visit yours frequently. I like those moth pictures, with the brilliant orange flower welcoming the moth. Thank you!

Te has recreado en la escena eh :-)
En este caso el protagonismo es para la flor, donde has captado bien los colores pero la luz casi se te ha escapado. Bien encuadrada.
Saludos Alexei: Josep Ignasi.

Very nice photo from your garden. The flower and butterfly are very beautiful. Fantastic contrasting colours, POV and an excellent composition.
Both images, to me, a learner, look the same; both are BEAUTIFUL. The one in the WS ???? I sort of like it better!!!
Love your MACRO work; someday am hoping to do Macro photography..... perhaps tomorrow with my new EOS 5D MarkII.
Am still learning to use this new equipment.
We, in Calgary, have ONLY snow & ice. No flowers, insects; even the birds are in hiding!!!

the shot is so beautiful and I love the colours. I never had the chance to make a shot of this cute moth, have seen it already in Italy, but it never sat down, always flying - no chance for me to capture it.
But you did it perfect, thanks and greetings

Beauty composition. Moth went out very beautifully. Flower also. Excellent colours. Picture is sharp. You described your garden very nicely.
I want in this year to sow in garden flowers and to lure insects' whole group. It will be successful maybe.

Thank you for the guided tour of your garden. Seems like you have a beautiful place to live in. And looking at all those winged visitors I think they also quite agree with me.:)
excellent macro work. The moth and the flower looks very attractive against a pleasing green background. I think Peter's suggestion has really helped to add more beauty to the picture.
Excellent POV, sharpness and lightind.
Thanks for the share,

Hello Alexei !
You have such a beautiful visitor in your garden - this moth is truly a gorgeous species ! And the flower he is sitting on is beautiful, too. Sharpness and details are excellent, but I also like the colors, the composition, the POV, the blurred BG showing your garden. I also like the pose of the moth, he looks like he is ready to fly away. Very well done !

You have photographed well this interesting moth. The rear POV you have chyosen shows well the pattern of the wings. Insect's colors makes a fine contrast with those of the flower it is sitting on.
TYhank you for sharing,

you bring a lot of pleasure to TN watchers with this shot. It has an interesting composition and the moth gives the impression of flying off. I think that taking a shot of the moth from the side and from slightly behind is extremely successful. And the promise of spring ....
My best regards to you and to the Duc de Richelieu :-)

It is superbly portayed from this side POV with excellent sharpness on the flower against the OOF Bg of your garden.

a very nice parallel shot to the level of perching. Iy makes the capture very majestic and look very gigantic. the clarity is so wonderful and it gives a special 3D effect.
the lighting too is well taken care, but I like the special soft layers of the blurry background.

As you can see, I'm here every day in your gallery to probably lure you back to the site... Thank you so much for introducing your garden. I hope you can photograph many insects and other living creatures there! Great and unusual POV, nice color tones, especially on the WS. I might crop a little more, with just the flower and the moth. However, the way you managed flash is fantastic. Before checking the exif, I only noticed you used flash from the stem of the flower. Incredible job, huge congrats MF.
I hope to see you soon, friendly regards, László
