Great photo of these birds. Both are very sharp and in lovely natural colours. Very nice poses and composition. Good DOF and blurred BG.

I am very glad that you have returned here and you have returned with amazing shot. I see you have used amazing telelens. It works great. Pictured scene is wonderful. Both bird are charming, they are reproduced brilliantly, sharpness and colours are outstanding as well as composition of the shot. Your lens always produces amazing BG. In your case it very pictorial and also nicely smoothen. My congratulations and Bravo.

OOooohhhh, Laurent - you are such a happy man!!! To see this bird so close - and capture it so fantastic - you are realy lucky!!!
I love this Hawfinch, Coccothraustes coccothraustes - it's the biggest bird in the finch-family. I only had the joy to see one in nature one time in my life ... Amazing.

Hi Laurent. You have taken a fine close up of the pair. It makes the chaffinch look small. You have good detail and natural colours. I like the way you have croped this one. well done TFS.

This a beautiful image. Great in many aspects. The combination of colours on the plumage is super, especially the larger of the two birds. The detail of the black feathers at the back is very special and makes me think of a few bow ties put together. The little bird with its mouth full of food has a character and charm of its own. All round a spectacular image, presented in a most pleasant manner. Thanks for sharing. Best regards.

Hello Laurent,

A very attractive image, handsome subjects photographed with skill. Beautiful, subtle color, good, sharp detail. The one on the left sort of reminds me of the Evening Grosbeaks, Coccothraustes vespertinus, that I've seen in the northern US.
