There are a lot of flying birds the last weeks. This is another of my contributions. Barnacle Geese on the way to their breeding places. Most of all I like the composition. I hope you like it too.

Flexibility and constraints in migration and breeding of the Barnacle Goose:
Maximising fitness means, to a large extent, optimising management of time and energy. This thesis investigates aspects of timing and resource acquisition and utilisation in the Barnacle Goose, Branta leucopsis during spring migration and reproduction. The Barnacle Goose population wintering along the Wadden Sea coast, and traditionally migrating via a stopover in the Baltic to its breeding sites in northern Russia, has shown some remarkable developments, among them, a geometric growth rate since the 1950s and a notable change in the timing of departure from the wintering grounds. Furthermore, long being regarded as an obligate Arctic breeder, within the past three decades this species has successfully colonised a wide variety of habitats at temperate latitudes, thereby shortening the migratory distances considerably or refraining from migration altogether.

Hello Peter,
Yes I like the composition of this shot showing a group of Barnacle Geese flying slightly away from the camera. They show up well against the OOF natural dark BG and the wing movement is great.
Thanks and best regards,
Ivan

Hi Peter,

A lovely shot of these six geese well frozen in flight. I don't think I have seen this species before. Excellent colors (I love the blue) and sharp details of their faces and wings. How wonderful to capture a half dozen in one frame.

Hello Peter,
A very pleasant action-shot you present here. The flight-formation of the geese is excellent (you clicked in the best moment) and what I like a lot is the similarity in color between birds and surrounding.
Beautiful and interesting picture.
Thanks and best regards

What a superb formation, Peter!
Indeed, your bird pictures are a joy to behold.
Five out of six of these Geese are synchronized in their flight. Fantastic shot with vivid details on their flapping wings.
I like the almost sepia touch to the picture.
Well done and best regards.

Hi Peter , a good in flight photo of these geese , your use of a high ISO , has helped to stop their motion nicely and still make for a nice grain free image , I like how it is almost coming across like black and white , but with the small flashes of color in their tail feathers , thanks for sharing.

Buen encuadre y dinamismo en esta toma. Conseguido un efectivo contraste con el fondo y una luz ténue acertada.
